Introducing our brand new programme, Diploma in Training of Trainers (TOT) for Healthcare Workers!

Notting Hill College is excited to announce the launch of a brand new programme for healthcare sector workers. The Diploma in Training of Trainers (TOT) for Healthcare Workers is designed to raise the skills of anyone in the healthcare industry who is required to give training as part of their role.

The first Virtual Campus start date of the programme is Wednesday, 20th July 2022.

Essential workers such as doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians and pharmacists who find themselves wanting to improve the effectiveness of the training they provide for their teams will leave this forty-hour programme with a new confidence in imparting information and the practical skills to do so.

The new course is the third of Notting Hill College’s programmes for trainers, as it joins the Diploma in Training of Trainers (TOT) and the Advanced Diploma in Training of Trainers (TOT) in E-Learning. There are no specific entry requirements for the programme, so healthcare professionals of all levels and even those who desire to enter the industry in the future can enrol in the Diploma in Training of Trainers (TOT) for Healthcare Workers.

By the end of the course, learners will have built upon their existing understanding of how they should present and share their expertise with others, as well as gain new practical methods and perspectives. They will leave ready to lead training sessions for team members in their department, both in person and virtually.

The learning outcomes of the Diploma in Training of Trainers (TOT) for Healthcare Workers are:

  • Be able to meet trainees’ needs analysis.

  • Understand how workers receiving quality training can improve applied skills, knowledge and attitude in the healthcare sector.

  • Be able to build training structures and turn ideas into training session content by effectively setting priorities.

  • Know how to deal with different types of learners and behaviours in both in-person and online training.

  • Be able to gather feedback on own performance while preparing for delivering better sessions in the future.

The programme consists of eight modules, each designed to hone the specific skills and knowledge required for preparing for and delivering healthcare training. The modules are:

  • Impact of Accelerating Learning in Increasing the Speed of Learning

  • Building the Training Cycle According to Evidence Based Learning Techniques

  • Defining the Types of Learners and Ways of Process and Retaining Information
