Overview
Grammar is the glue that holds language together. Proficiency in an English language is achieved fully when a person has a competent grasp on how its grammar works.
The Language Awareness Course covers the basics of English grammar in a simple way. It covers tenses, verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs as well as a wide range of essential grammar terminology. Its aim is to improve learners’ language awareness and understanding of the English language through practical exercises.
The programme is suited for people who can speak English but do not know grammar rules. It can be used as a foundation for anyone wishing to start their career as an English language teacher.

Learners will be given access to a course handbook and a grammar reference book.
Assessment
Submission of assignments will result in the achievement of a Certificate of Attendance for the Language Awareness Course. These consist of quizzes, exercises and self-correction tasks related to course content.

Eligibility
Applicants must be aged 18+. Applicants must also have a high level of written and spoken English proficiency and a high school diploma or equivalent or relevant work experience.
