Ofqual Regulated RQF Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET- New PTLLS)
RQF Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET- New PTLLS) is an introductory, knowledge based teaching qualification. The award can be delivered in classroom (at our venue in Manchester) or online via our learning portal. The Ofqual regulated Level 3 Award in Education and Training is the minimum mandatory qualification for learners planning to teach in the Learning and Skills Sector. RQF Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET- New PTLLS) is an introductory, knowledge based teaching qualification which can be undertaken by individuals who are not yet in a teaching role (pre-service), or are currently teaching (in-service).
The qualification is considered a foundation for those with little or no previous experience of teaching or training.
If you are interested in taking teaching as a career, AET is your first step as it prepares you for teaching or training in a wide range of contexts.

Micro teaching can be done at our venue, filmed and sent to us for grading or performed online
Level 3 qualification in your specialist subject area

If English is not your first language, you will need an IELTS (Academic) 5.5 or equivalent that is approved by the Home Office ( like Trinity ISE 1 or Trinity ISE 2).

Types of assessment
Notting Hill College has designed a host of assessment for RQF Level 3 AET qualification (AET- New PTLLS). To successfully complete your studies you need to write 5 assignments, submit a portfolio of evidence, and attach at least one reflective learning journal. For the practical side of the qualification a micro teaching is required, which can be done online or at our venue after which a self-evaluation form is filled and submitted on your Moodle account.

Learners must achieve a minimum of 12 credits from three mandatory unit groups. Group A is mandatory; Groups B and C contain optional units, some of which are taken from the Learning and Development suite.
Group A – 3 credits
Group B – a minimum of 6 credits
Group C – a minimum of 3 credits
AET graduates can work as a teacher/trainer/tutor in Further Education Colleges, adult and community education, the voluntary sector, commerce, industry, the public sector or HM forces
