NHC-Diploma in Academic Management and Directorship is designed to provide teachers with the tools
required to become successful academic managers and director of studies. This course provides essential input
on the tasks and responsibilities involved in this position and will help you develop the skills you need to be an
effective academic manager. This diploma explores the different theories and best practices needed to be a good Director of Studies. Hence, the Diploma in Academic Management and Directorships is the most comprehensive diploma level qualification for academic managers, Director of Studies, operations managers, and directors at educational institutes and training centers.
Candidates attending the Diploma in Academic Management and Directorship will study four modules.
Module 1: Leading and Managing the Establishment
Module 2: Developing and Monitoring Staff
Module 3: Evaluating and Developing Resources
Module 4: Enhancing Performance
Participants are required to complete five assignments consisting of research, reports and presentations and one graduation project. These are practical projects with a theoretical underpinning. There is no final examination.
The course equates to a total of approximately 375 hours.

It is also desirable to have an initial teaching qualification, a diploma in Teaching Methodology, TEFL, TESOL or Educantional Leadership and Management, and at least five years' ELT teaching or operational experience.
